A ten year old has been granted a shotgun license in Britain, always under the supervision of a licensed elder:
Lucy Cope, founder of Mothers Against Guns, called for the licence to be revoked.
She said: ‘There is no way a ten-year-old should have a shotgun – it is horrendous.
Police should hang their heads in shame. The gun must be taken away and the licence revoked right now.
‘I’d like to speak to that child’s mother and father and the police officers who thought it was a good idea. What were they thinking?”
There are almost 1700 firearms licenses in Bedfordshire, a county of almost 400,000 people.
